You may of heard of the term 80% of your results come from only 20% of your work or effort.
If you have then you will understand that it’s only the small parts of what we do have the biggest impact. But to see that impact those small things we do AKA the 20% must be consistent in order to get the results on time and for them to be visible.
For those who don’t know what the 80-20 rule is I am going to explain why having this rule and mantra in your life will change how you see things whilst getting incredible results.
If we were to look at your goals like a pie chart and that your goals were 100% Your ultimate aim and desire. How would you break that down into sizeable doable chunks? Something you can track and manage ensuring you stay on course and allow you to track your progress.
Lets use the example weight loss. You are looking to lose some extra weight you seemed to of put on over the last few months or even years. Now is the time to shed that weight and start to lead a happy, healthy lifestyle. How would you see to break that down.
Would it look something like this?
- Gym Session 3-4 times a week
- Eat healthy foods every day
- Stop eating junk food, drinking alcohol and eatning chocolate
Now they all have a place, but knowing where to place them is crucial. It’s the key to success.
There are pieces to a jigsaw but if you have them in the wrong order and you can’t figure out how the pieces fit. You are never going to achieve building the bigger picture without feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, tired or even feel like giving up.
So let me break that down and whilst doing that explain the 80-20 rule.
Eating Healthy Foods
Cutting out the junk food, alcohol and chocolate.
All of these account for only 20% of your day to day activities.
As you can see
- Exercise or Training makes up 5%
- Diet makes up 10%
- Recovery makes up 5%
Getting these into your routine will undoubtably get you results. It doesn’t need to be in that specific order but it does need to be in those amounts. Or does it?
This is where myInnerGo products make this unique. Will say this, diet will always remain at 10% because this is how we fuel our bodies and this is where the results happen. Training on a bad diet will not get you long term results but instead create long term health affects.
So Nutrition is important but knowing what foods to eat making your diet a happy, flexible one, can be difficult to figure out. Training or exercising. There is a lot of information out there and a lot of it can be too intensive or overwhelming. So knowing what kind of exercise you should be doing is also important. Doing a certain type of exercise your body isn’t used to will initially get you results but ultimately stop, or result in injury. Recovery is also very important. How well you recovery can help determine your training frequency and the types of training. Not recovering properly can and will ultimately stop your results or even increase the risk of injury or fatigue. Meaning you are too sore, beat up or too tired to train. Meaning that your training percentage goes down. Now this isn’t the end of the world as long as you don’t stop completely but it will slow things down.
So all this being said. How would you know what foods to eat, what exercise you respond to best and how well you recover? Well you could try new things what works. Tweaks a few things here or there. Switch up your frequency or intensity. Increase your calorie intake or even lower it. Give yourself extras days off between training. Each one of these needs to be done one at a time to see what works. Doing everything at once makes it hard to see what has worked.
Sounds like a lot of hard work right? Yes it does. But what if I told you it didn`t have to be that way.
What if I told you, you could have your own unique blueprint. Showing you;
- Foods you respond to best
- What exercise you adapt to giving you clear visible results
- How often your recovery should be, meaning you can stay consistent with your training allowing your body to do it`s thing....Being Awesome!
That would be pretty unique right? Well you would be right in saying that. That’s why we believe genetics play a pivotal role in getting people results. We believe having these results given to you will allow you to build out your own diet using our recommendations. Follow a training plan that’s designed on what exercise you respond to best and how often you should recover giving you the final piece to the puzzle. Recovery is where the body make it`s transformation.
We are ultimately giving you the whole 20% with precision. Allowing you to focus on doing the 20% thats right for you getting you the results you deserve and desire.
